As resolved on a motion in the House of Assembly, the Social Development Committee is conducting an inquiry into Petition No. 1 / 2026 ─ Immediate ban of greyhound racing in South Australia.
Petition Request:
Your petitioners request that your Honourable House will urge the Government to take immediate action to ban greyhound racing in South Australia.
Any person or organisation wanting to make a written submission to the inquiry is invited to do so by Friday 9 October 2026.
Written submissions addressing the Petition should be directed to the Secretary to the Committee at SDC@parliament.sa.gov.au or GPO Box 572, Adelaide 5001.
All submissions will be made publicly available unless determined otherwise by the Committee.
