The Social Development Committee is required to inquire into and report on the adequacy of the existing financial assistance provided to formal and informal foster and kinship carers by the Department for Child Protection
Submissions are now being received. Any person or organisation wanting to make a written submission to the inquiry is invited to do so by Friday 6 November 2026.
Written submissions addressing the issue under inquiry should be directed to the Secretary to the Committee at SDC@parliament.sa.gov.au or to GPO Box 572, Adelaide 5001.
All submissions will be made publicly available unless determined otherwise by the Committee.
